We really enjoyed our stay at Puesta del Sol. It was even better than the pictures! In particular, the staff was fabulous, very professional, friendly and hard working. Kojakc and the house manager both did a great job. I struggle to come up with any things that could be done better. Anyway, we really loved our stay and have already passed out the name of your company to our envious friends, so they may be in contact!

He remembered us and we exchanged stories and contact information just like we were life long friends. He’s a great hard working host. There were 14 of us and everyone had a great time and fell in love with Costa Rica just like we did. Everyone enjoyed the customizable excursions and the freedom to kind of come and go as they please. Several of us are actually planning a return trip for next summer (2024) with our kids. “Hi Steve,

We had a wonderful week at Puesta del Sol. It isn’t easy to accommodate 6 grandchildren of different ages (2 teenagers, 4 youngsters) but the villa and the activities which were organized for us were amazing-zip lining, hiking, wildlife viewing and a lovely day on a sailboat…there was something for everyone.

The staff were so accommodating and cared for us very well. They were especially kind to the younger children. The food was delicious and the menus provided a good variety.

The villa itself was beautiful..very clean and well kept. We loved the terrace and the magnificent view!! What an outstanding location…

Covid certainly played havoc with our plans but in the end all 14 of us a memorable family vacation which will be a wonderful memory for us all.

I want to particularly thank you, Steve, for your prompt response to me all through 4 different bookings for the holiday and your patience with the complication of dealing with Canadian covid regulations and flight changes!! It was a pleasure to deal with you.

Costa Rica is a beautiful country and we loved the experience traveling there!

“This is the ultimate vacation spot! We visited Costa Rica for the first time and will be heading back again soon! Villa Puesta del Sol was first class all the way. The accommodations were perfect with private baths in each room and plenty of room to spread out. The owners thought of all the details including room darkening shades for anyone who did not want to be up to see the amazing sunrise! The views are amazing from sunup to sundown. You will be entertained by the canaries and magpies who fly about and entertain in the nearby trees. As you take your morning walk be on the lookout for the howler monkeys up in the trees-they are entertaining to watch.

The staff is amazing! Andy is the ultimate bartender, always one step ahead of us in anticipating our food, beverage and relaxation needs. Allison’s amazing cooking kept us wanting more (but needing less) and Joselyn’s attention to assuring our rooms were perfect left us wanting for nothing. The owners were available to assist and arrange transportation from the airport and the local guide provided personalized service to assist in our explorations.

We are looking forward to our next visit and hope to have our families along to experience the wonders of Puesta del Sol - Ocotal.”

WOW! What a wonderful, relaxing vacation! I cannot recommend this place enough. From the full service at the villa to the excursions and local amenities. Our family had the best time. Oscar was great with our family photos. Allan was full of energy and a blast to work with on excursions. Andy and the girls at the villa were wonderful. We will definitely be back. All of our friends are pushing for an all adult trip so I will be reaching out to set that up soon.
